One day I woke up and realized I'm not a baby nurse anymore. I'm not even a young nurse. I'm a real adult who has now been doing this for years, and I'm definitely expected to know what I'm doing at all times. And that's fucking terrifying.

Quote of the night (while setting up for the external pacing of a patient)
Badass nurse: Whaddya want to start at, doc?
Cardiologist: Eh, let's start at 5 mAs.
Badass nurse: Hell doc, I poop harder than 5 milliamps!
We started at 0...because ACLS trumps badassness in most circumstances. But it was still funny.
