My life is in shambles. I just found out that Discovery Health Channel is being terminated January 1 2011, to be replaced with...The Oprah Winfrey Network.
FML.
F. My. Life.
What am I going to watch? No more Code Blue, Dr. G, Skeleton Stories, or Trauma. Nada on Mystery Diagnosis, Super Surgery, or Critical Hour. Ixnay Impact:Stories of Survival, Medical Incredible, and Diagnosis X.
I am devastated. The only two shows left to my name are Mythbusters and Deadliest Catch.
How in the world am I going to survive?! How can you leave me like this, DHC?!

One day I woke up and realized I'm not a baby nurse anymore. I'm not even a young nurse. I'm a real adult who has now been doing this for years, and I'm definitely expected to know what I'm doing at all times. And that's fucking terrifying.

Many of the photos showing mundane things are ones I took. As for memes and other google picture search images, I've been horribly bad at photo crediting - I will be attempting to go back through and properly credit things or remove them if I can't. But rest assured, ain't no real patient pictures up here, folks.
While I appreciate those reading the blog, I don't advertise for any website. I can only be responsible for my own opinion, and thus politely decline any offer to "host a post" or otherwise advertise something not written by me...But thanks anyway!

Get out! First they took away Court TV and turned it into crap, and now Discovery Health? This is devastating news to me.
PS-I hate Oprah. I mean, I really hate her.
Maybe Discovery Channel will pick up some of the shows.
Once, when I was young. Younger than you I think. I went to the doctor convinced I had something. I didn't. My husband commented to the dr after the exam that I had seen it on Oprah. My dr. laughed and said they usually had an influx of people thinking they had something the day and week after Oprah featured it on her show.
You may have to start watching Kathy Griffin on Bravo.

That damn lady has had her own TV show for like 20 years, I SWEAR and now she has to have her own damn NETWORK!? now that she decides to retire from her show? Ugh. I think I just threw up a lil in my mouth thinking about having to see that on 24 hrs a day 7 days a week.
Dr.G is waayyy cooler than Oprah.
